Polwarth combed top is a fan favourite of spinners, newbies and more experienced alike! I fell hard for this blend of wool, as it is just as soft as merino, but less slippery to spin with. It's got more grip to it than some of my Merino combed top, I find it easier to spin thin with Polwarth. 

As with most untreated fibre, the dye colours tend to come out more muted and muddled, more dreamy if you will. Some colour run off in the first few washes isn't uncommon, although I try my hardest to make sure all the acid dyes are set well and rinsed out properly. 

This combed top of 100% Polwarth is organic, and comes from the Falkland Islands in the UK. The sheep there are not subjected to mulesing, and have not been treated with pesticides. 

This base is good for felting, but if you are not intending to felt your project, you'll want to be mindful when washing this yarn. Cold water, gentle hand wash only, and always lay flat to dry
