"ADOBE GOLD" -Photograph of crystalline phenylethylamine found in chocolate"Adobe Gold" has a structure reminiscent of an ancient adobe pueblo and is accented with rich golds and striking blues. The crystals of phenylethylamine, a substance found in chocolate, were grown on a glass microscope slide by evaporating a solution and then photographed under a microscope. The colors are produced by the refraction of light as it travels through the prism like crystal array.
