Each piece we craft at Istani is a contribution to the living archive of indigenous technology. Each motif is a portal that takes us to the moment the artisan has marked the cloth - enlivening the sound, the echo, the touch of each time the woodblock hits the cloth. 

These silk button downs are our latest addition to this living archive - made from 100% luxurious silk and printed using all natural dyes.

All Istani products are currently available on a pay-what-you-can basis. I chose this model to close out Istani’s clothing chapter in a way that feels true to my values: care, access, and honesty. I don’t believe in scarcity tactics or gimmicks. I want these pieces to move into the world with integrity, and for you to choose a price that feels possible and real for you. 

Fiber: Covers the essentials: fabric, printing, and stitching.

Yarn: Covers materials + labor + part of the design and studio costs. Near the wholesale rate; what a stockist would pay

Cloth: Covers the full cost of production and my labor in design, storytelling, and running the studio.
