IT: Welcome to Derry is an American supernatural horror television series and prequel to the It films, developed by Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, and Jason Fuchs. The series premiered on HBO on October 26, 2025, and consists of eight episodes that air weekly.

Set in 1962 in the eerie town of Derry, Maine, the story begins when a couple and their son move into town, just as a young boy mysteriously disappears. As strange events escalateÑdisappearances, sinister visions, and unexplained phenomenaÑa group of local children and adults are drawn into the town’s horrific secrets and the unseen malevolence behind them.

The series expands the lore of Stephen King’s haunted town, diving into Pennywise the Dancing Clown’s ominous history years before the events of the 2017 and 2019 film adaptations. Bill SkarsgŒrd reprises his role as Pennywise, anchoring the terror with chilling presence while exploring the origins and cycles of fear that have long plagued Derry.
