The Shimano XM-R77X Wison 77S Sinking Lure is a compact saltwater baitfish plug made for working shallow to mid-water lanes with more finesse than a big surf minnow.

It is useful when fish are feeding on smaller bait, when the water is clear, or when you need a lure that can still cast without looking oversized.

Start with a steady retrieve to understand the swimming line, then add small speed changes, rod twitches, or pauses when fish are following but not eating.

Floating versions are useful over shallow structure and wash; sinking versions let you count down into chop, current, and deeper lanes.

It is strongest when predators are feeding in the upper to middle water column and moving along bait.

It is not the most direct tool for fish pinned hard on the bottom; in that case, a metal jig or soft plastic reaches the zone more efficiently.

TARGET SPECIES: sea bass, flatfish, bluefish, trevally, snapper, queenfish, rockfish, and shore predators feeding around baitfish.
