Daaljini and Roz Cruise are two incredible Tlingit women from right here in Juneau. They use their talent to continue the beautiful and ancient tradition of Northwest Coast art. They work with copper and silver to create formline element earrings-- these pieces range in shape from watchful eyes, to shimmering tail feathers, to shark gills, to geometric shapes. They have been inspired by many people in their community throughout their artistic lives, but their first and greatest teacher was Daaljini’s mother, Sue Folletti. They take great pleasure in seeing their pieces worn with pride at Native gatherings.
