Choose Viper Heavy Duty when you need stronger degreasing than a light maintenance cleaner but do not need an aggressive brightener. If your main job is indoor evaporator cleaning, the Viper Evaporator Coil Cleaner 3.785L is the more targeted option. If you are cleaning outdoor coils with oxidisation or hard carbon deposits, step up to Viper Brite 3.785L. If you want a quick aerosol for light maintenance or tight access, see Viper AC Coil Cleaner 510g.
This is a concentrated cleaner, so application method matters. It is commonly used with the Viper Foam Sprayer for flexible on-site foam or jet application, or the Viper Foam Gun when you want hose-fed foam and fast condenser cleaning. For split-system indoor work where runoff control matters, pair it with a wash bag or complete AC cleaning kit. This product is not “always no-rinse” in every scenario, and that is important buyer information. Supplier guidance says condenser coils can be given a light rinse if water is available, with no-rinse use on condensers only at higher dilution. Evaporator coils may be used in a no-rinse workflow when diluted appropriately and where loosened debris will not create a drain or pan blockage. For food-processing areas, remove or protect food and packaging, and rinse with potable water if contact is expected.
Always follow the current supplier SDS and your workplace procedures before use. Chemical handling requirements can vary by jurisdiction and application, so do not assume that older “non-toxic” marketing copy tells the whole story. Wear appropriate PPE for the task, protect surrounding finishes, avoid forcing debris deeper into coils, and do not mix with other chemicals unless the manufacturer specifically says it is safe. For any HVAC task that also involves electrical isolation, system disassembly or refrigerant handling, use competent personnel and the appropriate licensed RAC technician where required.
Not in every scenario. Supplier guidance is conditional: evaporators can be no-rinse above certain dilution levels where drain blockage will not be an issue, while condensers may still need a light rinse unless used at higher dilution.
Yes. This is one of the main strengths of RT390G. It is designed for both condenser and evaporator cleaning when used as directed.
According to the supplier technical data, yes. It is described as safe for all metals and OEM approved for aluminium micro-channel coils.
Choose Viper Heavy Duty when you need strong degreasing but not a brightener. Choose Viper Brite when the job involves oxidisation and hard carbon deposits that need more aggressive brightening action.
If most of your work is indoor evaporator maintenance, the Viper Evaporator Coil Cleaner is the more targeted option. Choose Heavy Duty when you want one stronger concentrate for mixed condenser and evaporator jobs.
No special applicator is mandatory, but the product is much easier to apply consistently with the Viper Foam Sprayer or Viper Foam Gun.
It can suit informed DIY cleaning tasks where the user understands safe chemical handling and the equipment being cleaned. For larger systems, electrical work, heavy fouling, or any work involving refrigerant circuits, use a qualified technician.
Supplier directions say food and packaging should be removed or protected, and potable-water rinsing is required if contact with food or packaging is expected.
